Customers get an A-Plus for fashion
Customers step into style as Ackermans guides them in the latest fashion trends at the first A-Plus Fashion Workshop to be held in both Cape Town and Johannesburg on the 5th and 19th April 2008, respectively. The exclusive event for A-Plus readers is hosted by New Media Publishing and coincides with the annual A-Plus fashion supplement. Guests will join A-Plus editor Ingrid Jones, A-Plus club manager Retha Carter and a team of fashion specialists. The cost of the workshop is R75 per person, with seating limited to the first 66 respondents to the A-Plus fashion supplement.
Themed “Black, White and Bling”, guests will be treated to a red-carpet entrance where South African model and well-known personality Tammy-Anne Fortuin will host the event. Fortuin will feature on the cover of this year’s A-Plus fashion supplement. Guest speakers include Glamour’s Fashion Director Cathy Stead (Cape Town) and former fashion and beauty editor of True Love Babe, Lebogang Malatse (Joburg) who will inform the audience of fashion forecasts, season trends, as well as shopping and accessorising tips. There will also learn how to dress for your body shape, lots of hair and make-up tips, as well as celebrity secrets on dressing for success.
Ingrid Jones, editor of A-Plus, explains that, “Our A-plus fashion supplement is about creating an individual sense of style with the latest fashion trends from Ackermans. The A-Plus Fashion Workshop will provide customers with fashion advice and tips that will encourage them to become No 1 on their own best-dressed list. It is also a wonderful opportunity for Ackermans to interact with their customers.”
The A-Plus Fashion Workshop was initiated by the A-Plus team, after the immediate success of their first reader workshop in October 2007. Workshops provide the perfect opportunity to explore the multi-faceted elements of the Ackermans brand. At the A-Plus Décor Workshop, club members were treated to a day with plenty of flair as décor specialists shared secrets on stylish entertaining, home accessorising and cooking to impress.
